JUSTIN BROWN
Oakland, California, native Justin Brown is an extremely busy bicoastal musician whose drumming with Thundercat, Gerald Clayton, Christian McBride, Stefon Harris, Kenny Garrett, Esperanza Spalding, and Vijay Iyer is simply a foretaste of his brilliant debut album as a leader with his band, Nyeusi.

On every Nyeusi gig, Brown’s cathartic drumming and ’70s-inspired funk/fusion material are thoroughly earth scorching. But within his kinetic rhythm brew are incredible groove reserves, a refined touch, and a deep knowledge of jazz history.

JASON LINDNER
Hailed as a “musical universe” by Chick Corea, Jason Lindner first gained acclaim for his long-running Big Band, whose raw energy earned them a release on Corea’s label. Lindner has served as musical director for Lauryn Hill and Claudia Acuña, and collaborated with Meshell Ndegeocello, who produced his release Jason Lindner Gives You Now Vs. Now. The Brooklyn native grew up on hip hop and learned to play jazz from elders like Barry Harris and Chris Anderson, then further expanded his musical palette to include African, Afro-Caribbean, South American, and Middle Eastern music, all informing his own compositional style. The New York Times wrote, “Rhythm provides more than a heartbeat for the pianist Jason Lindner. It also seems to fuel his respiratory functions and digestive activity, and maybe his neurons. What matters to him is groove, however it comes.”

ADAM ROGERS
A native New Yorker, Adam Rogers has been the guitarist of choice for an array of the some of the greatest names and in jazz, pop and world music: Michael Brecker, Joe Jackson, Cassandra Wilson, Walter Becker, Chris Potter, John Zorn, The Gil Evans Orchestra, The Mingus Orchestra, Norah Jones, Paul Simon, John Patitucci, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, George Coleman, Ravi Coltrane, Brian Blade, Kenny Barron, Marcus Miller, Regina Carter, Phillip Bailey, Christian Mcbride and Billy Childs to name just a few.

“...easily one of the best jazz guitarists in New York...the next step in the tradition of swinging mainstream players in the lineage of Pat Martino and George Benson.” The New York Times

MICAH THOMAS
“Pianist Micah Thomas is having the jazz equivalent of a standout rookie season. Just within the last several weeks, he finished his graduate studies at Juilliard and released a terrifically assured debut album called Tide. It introduces an artist of superb technical facility, along with something even more striking - a deep understanding of the sprawling lineage of modern jazz piano and a youthful determination not to get caught retracing anybody's steps.” -NPR
