Pyroclastic Records

Pianist-composer Kris Davis founded Pyroclastic Records in 2016. By supporting artists in the dissemination of their work, Pyroclastic empowers emerging and established artist to continue challenging conventional genre-labeling within their fields. Pyroclastic also seeks to galvanize and grow a creative community, providing opportunities, supporting diversity and expanding the audience for noncommercial art. The Pyroclastic festival weekend at the Jazz Gallery features five Pyroclastic Artists and their projects.

Winter JazzFest

Since its founding in 2005, Winter Jazzfest has cemented a reputation as a hotbed of cultural discovery, presenting new and exciting sounds and scenes throughout New York. Praised by New York Times, The New Yorker, NPR and others, the festival continues to grow at a dynamic rate, from its original one-day single-location program, to the 2023 itinerary that spans 7 days, across 15 stages throughout Downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn, featuring more than 70 groups. Winter Jazzfest is an unparalleled experience for educated consumers of jazz, experimental sound and global creative impulses.
